Now I did it, but I did have to ask why he wanted me to post it. “Because I want people to offer love if they choose. I can use the blessings. ” Huh. Later (after some rest), I thought about this. Why wouldn’t I post a picture, or at least a post so people know my condition when I am in bad health? 2 things:
#1 WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK:
Because someone is going to think I am seeking attention or going to tell me why it’s my fault (which it could be but not helpful).
#2 I HAVE A CORE BELIEF THAT I NEED TO EARN LOVE.
And asking for help, rather than giving it means that I will have to work harder to earn that love in balance. My husband isn’t limited by these because…
1 He believes everybody loves him (they do) and think awesome things about him.
AND 2 He opens space for love to come in. He doesn’t go about earning it or actively making huge efforts. He just puts his truth out there and keeps space open for love. And he got over 150 messages of love, support, and good juju. He certainly hasn’t been out ‘doing’ or ‘earning’ in exchange for all these love notes. HE JUST OPENS SPACE FOR LOVE AND IT APPEARS.
I have been focused lately on how to love other people more – the ones I really do love and those I am challenged to love. So this was a big lesson.
I don’t need to seek love so hard, or work so hard for it.
OPEN MORE SPACE TO LET LOVE IN…
that’s the only thing ‘to do’. And it looks like he’ll be fine, in case you’ve wondered about his health through all this. Do you allow love in or feel like you need to earn it?
