Honoring Our Gifts (21)We made it for the end, and in my opinion, we saved the best for last. The Golden Shadow.

Oooh. Aah.

We’ve talked about the Golden Shadow before. The basics: the Golden Shadow is all of those things we would benefit from using that we don’t claim. And I know what you’re thinking – if I don’t claim them, how do I know I have them? Here’s how I realized my Golden Shadow: I envied another woman’s qualities. Those things we love in other people are in us too or we wouldn’t be able to recognize them at all. We have those qualities too – we just haven’t embraced them.

So today, honor your Golden Shadow by trying this little exercise.

Ground yourself and talk some breaths. Release those muscles and breathe.

Then picture someone whom you admire or like a specific quality about. Breathe into that and be curious. What is it about this person that you like? What does he/she do that portrays that quality to you?

Now think about how you embrace that quality already in your life. It might be in more simpler, less visible ways, but think about how you already use this quality.

Then think about how you can bring more of that quality into your life. What are some ways you could bring the qualities you want in your life from your shadow?

Then commit and stay accountable. Check in with yourself.

That’s it! That’s all 30 days and we probably could go on forever. Gifts are everywhere. Go honor some of yours.

Simple ways to be grateful for our gifts. And of course, you don’t have to stick to our calendar – you can be grateful for anything that comes along today. This is just a prompt.

I’d love to hear what you are honoring today and how you are doing it. Check in with us and leave some comments.
