Honoring Our Gifts (12)The Magician archetype is the one that can transform a situation by using new perspectives. Whether or not you recognize the Magician in your life, it’s very likely there are times that you use it and you don’t even know it. The Magician is a constant learner and seeking to unknowingly outwit other archetypes to get what he/she wants.

So there is power (for better or worse) in the Magician. We want to focus on the gifts, so we’ll look at times that our Magician has offered benefit to me rather than worked against my best wishes (although there are gifts in those too).

For me, the Magician is about focusing on new perspectives – especially when faced with adversity. Often I can limit myself to black and white thinking without the Magician, as though there are only 2 answers to every challenge. The Magician challenges me to see all the perspectives and solutions.

The Magician for me has been most powerful in my own personal growth work. She has guided me to see things I thought were solitary truths as just one option from many. Because of my Magician I can see things in new perspectives and transform my thinking. Personal growth work is quite magical for me.

Honoring the Magician:

Some ideas for honoring the Magician-

Take time to think of the new perspectives you’ve had to take on to get to where you are. Take a moment to send that Magician blessings for offering a new light.

What transformation or magic have you performed in your life? Is there a time when you felt like you didn’t have an answer and then out of nowhere you saved the day? Or have our transformed someone else’s life by brightening their day or turning their mood around? Honor those gifts of the Magician by seeking opportunities right now to perform these tricks again.

Simple ways to be grateful for our gifts. And of course, you don’t have to stick to our calendar – you can be grateful for anything that comes along today. This is just a prompt.

I’d love to hear what you are honoring today and how you are doing it. Check in with us and leave some comments.
