{Christina’s Gift Perspective}

Honoring Our Gifts (8)Our planet. Something I think I take for granted way too much. I blame it on being born in the 70s and raised in the 80s. Consumption was the name of those decades. Today though I recognize the impact that each one of us humans are making upon our planet.

So we don’t get negative or political, I want to focus on the gifts and blessings that our planet provides. We have many magical ecosystems and resources and everything we need for life to continue in so many forms just offered to us. It’s just there, waiting for us to appreciate it, use it for our best benefit, or simply ground ourselves.

Our Earth is a wondrous thing. Let’s honor it today.

Honoring our Earth:

  • Ground yourself to Mother Earth. Feel her beneath your feet. (Even if it is frozen outside, feel the energy beneath your feet.) Send a blessing for this gift.
  • Care for Mother Earth in some way. Do some research on how you can leave less of an impact, make little changes, become more conscious through the day of how many resources you consume with all the things you use, wear, or have. Feel gratitude for her caring for you and providing for you each day.
  • Make a point to take a walk and reacquaint yourself with all that nature provides. I like to call it a gratitude walk.

When I am going through something serious, I have to remember to return to the Earth. After all, she’s outlived all of our problems. She has seen all that humans have to endure, and she still carries on, doing her thing. She grounds us, provides for us, nourishes us, gives so much – all while just holding space for each of our struggles.

Simple ways to be grateful for our gifts. And of course, you don’t have to stick to our calendar – you can be grateful for anything that comes along today. This is just a prompt.

I’d love to hear what you are honoring today and how you are doing it. Check in with us and leave some comments.
